This tool introduces a simple icon next to text fields, indicating character usage and limits in real-time. When hovered over, the icon reveals a summary of how many characters have been used, how many are remaining, and the total limit for that field. This feature helps users avoid the common frustration of exceeding character limits when submitting records.
The extension supports standard and custom text fields, including Text, Text Area, and Long Text Area fields. It provides live warnings as users type, indicating when they are nearing the limit or have reached it. Although it does not support Rich Text fields or fields without a defined maxlength attribute, it significantly enhances the user experience by making character limits more visible and manageable.
